A Noble Birth: The distinguished home of Rasulullah (SA) was illuminated with radiant light by the noble birth of Fatema (AS). Her birth was from a heavenly apple. She was born on 10th Jamad il ukhra in the first year following the Nubuwwat of Rasulullah (SA).
A Devoted Daughter: Fatema (AS) was distinguished by a noble and divinely inspired upbringing, Rasulullah's (AS) aspirations were fulfilled in her. He held her in great regard; on her arrival Rasulullah (SA) would voice his praise of her: "O Fatema, my soul be sacrificed upon you, you are Syedaa of all the women in the world." For Rasulullah (SA), Fatema (AS) was the most beloved of all women. Aisha, when asked if she was the most beloved, admitted that it was not her, but indeed Fatema (SA) who was closest to Rasulullah's (SA) heart.
A Revered Wife : Ali (AS) and Fatema (AS) were married in heaven, and subsequently by Rasulullah (SA). In celebration of her wedding, the shia were bestowed with inscriptions stating that the flames of hell would never touch them. The day after the marriage, Rasulullah (SA) asked Fatema (AS) why she was wearing the old dress and not the new one he had gifted to her. Fatema (AS) related that she had given it away to a needy person. Rasulullah (SA) asked if she had taken the permission of Ali (AS), Fatema (AS) replied that she had indeed taken permission, and that Ali (SA) was pleased by her gracious act. Rasulullah (SA) was greatly pleased by Fatema's display of ta'at. Fatema (AS) was married at the age of thirteen, Fatema (AS) and Ali (AS) were together for approximately ten years. All this while Fatema (AS) never complained of any hardship, never ever told a lie, and was never ever dishonest.
A Doting Mother: Fatema (AS) remained a devoted mother throughout her lifetime until the very end when she was weak and frail with illness. She bathed Imam Hasan (AS) and Husain (AS), she cooked for them and fed them knowing that it was the last time. Fatema (AS) had four children, Hasan (AS), Husain (AS), Zainab and Umme Kulsum. The fifth child was Mohsin (AS).
Aimmat Fatemiyyin are the true progeny of Ali (AS), Fatema (AS) and Rasulullah (SA). And during the seclusion of the Aimmat (AS), the Duat Fatemiyyeen (RA) guide mumineen. This chain of succession will continue until the day of judgment.
A Divine Intercession : Fatema (AS) cried during nights and gathered tear drops in a vessel, she gave this vessel to Ali (AS) and asked him to put this in her grave. So that if any sinning mumin or mumina was thrown into the flames of hell, she would sprinkle her tears and put out the fire.
Fatema's (AS) shahadat was on the 10th Jamad il ula, 10th H. Her qabr mubarak is in Jannat ul baqee, Medina.
